About

As an autodidact sculptor, Brittney Lear has mastered her craft in clay and driftwood mediums. At the age of 18 she was awarded best in show for a clay 3D rendition of a pop culture poster. In 2010 she switched to working solely with driftwood, fallen wood and scrap metal. Once again she was awarded best in show for a lifesized driftwood sculpture of a wild Mustang. Fairly new to the art scene, Brittney has participated in Juried events and has been building inventory for shows in addition to working on commissions. Brittney focuses on expressing motion and emotion in her art aiming to depict a realistic nature through textures, shapes and colors. Her future goals include the use of more metals within her art and participating in juried shows nationally.
